As Seen In

Here’s where we plan to keep you abreast of what’s happening in our world - what we’re working on and where we’re headed.

Baby in the NICU
  • The Center for Health Design modeled the Pediatric Environment Network (PEN) after a highly-regarded and established Built Environment Network. PEN Is the newest collegial experience for senior and executive-level healthcare facilities, design and manufacturing/consulting professionals involved in the design and oversight of children’s health facilities. Judy Smith was invited to facilitate this network and help launch it in 2022.

  • The 2022 Gravens Conference included a session that built on several preceding design thinking exercises to reimagine the NICU of the future. As a participant and facilitator in these efforts Judy worked with talented teams to develop intriguing and innovative concepts that ranged from the high tech use of advanced technology including smart phone applications and holographic communication to concepts that offer a different type of high risk infant care outside the hospital and an integrative unit design within the hospital.

  • The planning committee is working diligently to organize the best speakers for the 2023 theme for this highly regarded, international NICU conference: The Future is Now for Babies, Families and Systems.
